Kids Camp and Serve Week Give Kinston Families and Students a Summer to Grow and Give Back

This summer, 902 Church in Kinston, NC, is bringing two big events to local families and students: one designed for younger kids to explore faith in a creative way, and the other that sends students directly into the heart of their community to serve.

Whether you have a child in elementary school or a teenager looking for a memorable summer experience, these programs offer something real and accessible for Kinston families.

Emerald Crossing Kids Camp: Ireland Meets Psalm 23

From Tuesday, June 16, through Thursday, June 18, 902 Church is hosting Emerald Crossing, an evening kids camp running from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM each night.

The camp takes children on an imaginative journey through Ireland, using it as a backdrop for exploring Psalm 23. Kids will discover God as Shepherd, Guide, Comforter, Provider, and King, following the story of David through hands-on activities, games, and age-appropriate apologetics. Each evening connects the landscapes of Ireland, from Donegal’s green pastures to Dublin’s Viking history, to the timeless truths of how God leads and provides.

Registration is open to children ages 3 through rising 6th graders. The cost is $10 per child, which covers a t-shirt and snacks each night. CLICK HERE to register.

For kids moving up to middle school next fall, this is also a great chance to meet some student ministry leaders before making that transition.

Student Ministry Serve Week: Serving Kinston Together

July 12 through July 17, 902 Church’s Student Ministry is hosting Serve Week, a local mission experience open to students in grades 6 through 12.

Rather than traveling far this summer, students will spend the week serving in Kinston. Service projects, community partnerships, daily meals, worship, and time together are all part of the week. Students will be dropped off and picked up at 902 Church each day, staying in their own homes each night. The cost per student is $50, and registration closes June 10 or when spots are filled. This is not just a student event. Adults are needed as project leaders, drivers, meal helpers, and group leaders throughout the week. CLICK HERE to sign up to volunteer.
