Savvy, saucy move gives sandwiches their moment ahead of Election Day, with the returning Caramel Apple Cookie and a Footlong BOGO for Sub Club members

MIAMI, Oct 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Tuesday, Nov. 3 is a big day in America. And we’re not talkin’ about National Sandwich Day.

Subway's Fritos® Chicken Enchilada Sub and fan-favorite Caramel Apple Cookie return to menus nationwide starting Oct. 27 for a limited time.

Subway® has elected to give sandwiches their own moment, moving its National Sandwich Day celebration to Tuesday, Oct. 27 – one week ahead of midterm Election Day – and enticing everyone’s SUBconscious with a saucy lineup:

  • Subway’s popular Fritos® Chicken Enchilada Sub, last offered in 2014, available for a limited time.
  • Subway’s fall fan-favorite Caramel Apple Cookie, last offered in 2021, back on the menu for a limited time.
  • A FREE Footlong sandwich with the purchase of another Footlong sandwich for all current and new Sub Club members, available Oct. 27 through Nov. 8 on app and online orders.*

“We weren’t going to let National Sandwich Day become an afterthought,” said Jeff Klein, Chief Marketing Officer at Subway. “Especially with the Fritos® Chicken Enchilada Sub making a comeback that our fans and franchisees have been asking for. So, we’re giving sandwiches their own day in the spotlight, one week early. Consider this permission to listen to your SUBconscious. Apparently, it’s been asking for Fritos.”

For those marking National Sandwich Day on Nov. 3, both returning favorites and the BOGO offer will still be available.

The Fritos® Chicken Enchilada Sub brings together juicy rotisserie-style chicken marinated in enchilada sauce, crisp Fritos® corn chips and smoky Baja Chipotle sauce, with Monterey Cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes and red onions.

The returning Caramel Apple Cookie features apple pieces, caramel chips and salted caramel crunch, finished with a caramel icing drizzle.

“The enchilada sauce brings depth, the chipotle adds a little heat and the Fritos® deliver that signature crunch,” said Chef Paul Fabre, SVP of Culinary Innovation at Subway. “The apple and salted caramel offer a sweet finish that tastes like fall.”

The lineup builds on Subway’s new Feed Your SUBconscious™ brand platform, launched in September, featuring actor and comedian Will Arnett as the inner voice steering you toward a freshly prepared meal at Subway.

The Footlong BOGO offer will be automatically added to current and new Sub Club members’ wallets in the Subway app. To join Sub Club** and order, visit the Subway app or Subway.com.

*Redeemable at participating U.S. restaurants. Subway® app/online orders only. Sub Club members only.
Free Footlong sub of equal/lesser price. Add-ons addt’l. Plus tax. 1 use per order. Cannot combine with other offers. Excludes Fresh Fit®, 5 Meat Italian, & Big Hot Pastrami. Limited time.
